Thursday 18th December

Hello class!! How are you? Ready for Christmas?? I'm sure you are after these months working so hard!! I hope you spend a really good time with family and friends and enjoy these special celebrations.

Last class we had a good time; we made some crafts, we took some photographs and we sang and dance a very nice Christmas carol. I'm really proud; you did very very well.

Then you received your marks and we knew who was the winner of our Olimpic Games: This tern the winner is Adrián Esteban... but Adrián Flores was very few points less... The second term is looking interesting!

And to finish here you have this special gift. I hope you like.

And that's all this term... I really wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy happy 2015

Be good, have fun, see you in class... next year!!!

Last class we first checked your comics;good job. Then we practised months and days... again.I think it's ok. You did good activities, listening and speaking You have to review a bit more, especially the use of the present simple.

We reviewed the structure:

  • On Friday morning we go shopping

We will continue next week talking about sports deeply, right?

Hello boys!! How are you? Well, I hope you're fine and happy after learning so many things about Thanksgiving!! We watched a very ineresting video which helped us to understand this American tradition; maybe in some years we also celebrate Thanksgiving, would you like?

Here you have some voc we learnt:
corn on the cob, feast, pilgrims, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie, gravy, roast turkey...

Last class we first checked your comics; well, we will continue a bit more until we have a kind of book full of pictures and stories, it will be really nice, believe me.

Then we practised more voc related to hobbies. I think this is enough and next week we can start a new lesson, let's see if we are ready, ok?

As I told you, you can get some extra points if you work here in our blog. Here you have some words for you to write a sentence and get more points. Are you ready? That's what I hope!

  2. Collecting things
  3. Video games
  4. Football
  5. Chess
  6. Board games
  7. Reading magazines
  8. Going to the cinema

Ok. So if you show me next day sentences (8 sentences) with these words and they are well written you'll get more points, right?

Remember to continue with your comics; write some texts in order to understand the pictures or colour them. And you, Charlie, bring the interview with the Dragon and don't forget to add a picture or photograph. Remember you have to interview the Dragon, so you can invent the answers or ask someone for help.

And to finish, here you have your points:

Thursday 20th November

Hi boys! How's it going?Making up stories for your comics? Well, that's what I hope because in class you showed very cool ideas!

Last class was very good. I was very happy because some of you got extra points after completing the questions I wrote in the blog. I hope more and more of you start doing the same, I mean, entering the blog to do this activities, or upload some of your photos, well, what you  want.

We were working with hobbies voc and you role played some interviews in order to know more about your classmates, asking the things you like, you love, you don't like and so on. You did surprisingly well as I told you.

After that we were practising some listening activities in which people were talking about their free time activitites. Then we practised some more speaking. It seems this topic is easy for you, especially because your homework was really, really good. I'm astonished!

Then, we started with our project. In the end you decided to do a comic instead of writing stories. Well, maybe that's a better idea taking advantage of your imagination. We started with some drafts so for homework you will write and draw them clean, ok?

And you Jorge, take care of the Dragon and next day show us some pictures and explain the class the things you're doing, right? Enjoy these days, ok?

And here you have your points:

  1. Player 1: 32
  2. Player 2: 31
  3. Player 3: 14
  4. Player 4: 27
  5. Player 5: 18
  6. Player 6: 17
  7. Player 7: 32
Well, I hope you enjoy with your pictures and stories as you did in class. We had lots of fun.

Be good, have fun, see you in class!

Thursday 13th November

Hello boys, how are you today? I hope you're fine, I'm fine too. Last class we practised LIKE + ING again and again  but still you need more. I  mean, I know you understand the structure but when you write or speak you forget. I hope that you can do your homework in the right way and if still you have doubts or questions please: ask  me.

We went through all the skills last class; still we have to continue with the -ING verbs especially when writing, since speaking goes a bit better.

Anyway, I think that one of the most important things we practised in class was how to access to our blog. For this reason you will show that now you're able to enter by getting some extra points if you complete this activity.

- WHAT'S YOUR HOBBY?
- WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT YOUR HOBBY?
- WHEN DO YOU DO YOUR HOBBY?

Apart from this remember to complete the worksheet I gave you because is your homework.

And you Bruno please, take some pictures of you and the Dragon and tell us about the things you do with it.

To finish here you have your points:

  1. Player 1: 28
  2. Player 2: 28
  3. Player 3: 23
  4. Player 4: 27
  5. Player 5: 27
  6. Player 6: 25
  7. Player 7: 27
That's all for today.

Be good, have fun, see you in class!

Thursday 6th November

Hello class!! How's it going? Well, I hope you're ok enjoying your time, especially your free time. This is our new topic: free time and hobbies; so I hope this makes you speak as well as you did last class. Week after week you seem to take more seriously the language, I mean, at least you're trying everyday to improve your English. We're doing lots of activities based on speaking and pronunciation, this is the aim of the course. I'm glad to see that you (almost always) try your best.

Last Thursday we finished the revision of WH-questions organising some sentences. After that we introduced the new topic talking about the things you like doing in your leisure time. We pointed the importance of the structure LIKE + -ING (and some other verbs) and we practised. We completed this first part with listening exercises.

In the second part we listened to a song about hobbies and then we went on with voc related to things we enjoy doing (collecting things, reading books & comics, listening to music, playing video games, watching movies....) We practised pronunciation with a short text you will have to work with as homework. Don't forget! But just in case here you are:

You have to complete this worksheet for next day. And you Charlie remember to show some pictures of you and our Dragon. Try to tell the class the things you  have done with it, especially in your free time. What abour his hobbies? Please, don't forget this time, and don't leave the Dragon at home!!

To finish here you have your points:

  1. Player 1: 28
  2. Player 2: 29
  3. Player 3: 20
  4. Player 4: 32
  5. Player 5: 25
  6. Player 6: 25
  7. Player 7: 31

That's all.  This competition is becoming really interesting... Don't you think??

Be good, have fun, see you in class!
